To mark the start of the celebrations of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee  weekend Watford Museum  are delighted to be holding a beacon lighting ceremony. 

 

More than 2,022 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories, and one in each of the capital cities of Commonwealth countries in recognition of The Queen’s long and selfless service.

To coincide with the lighting of the Beacon, the North London Military Wives Choir will be singing a specially commissioned ’Song for the Commonwealth'.
